Why we build them
The last mile of physical AI is almost never the model. It is power, connectivity, heat, dust, gloves, and daylight.
An inspector on a transmission corridor needs the intelligence local, because the corridor has no signal. A crew in a field needs a screen readable at noon and operable with one hand. A technician on a plant floor needs a machine that can take a hit and keep the shift running.
None of that is solved by a faster model. It is solved by building the thing the model runs on.
